Key requirements

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Ideally 4 to 6 years of experience in a Civil Infrastructure design consultancy
• Working towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer
• Sound knowledge of engineering principles, technical drawings, and planning data
• Experience with Autodesk Civil3D, Vehicle Tracking, MicroDrainage or relevant Drainage Design software and AutoCAD
• Ability to work within and able to collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams

As a Structural Engineer, you will take on a key role in planning, design and construction, working within a close, international team. This is a full-time office based role for a Structural Engineer at Pinnacle Ingenieurbüro GmbH in Frankfurt. You will be a strong team player with the ability to think creatively, and act tactically and efficiently. Responsible for preparing design calculations, structural analysis using appropriate software (Tekla, Tedds, Frilo, RFEM), preparing Prüfstatiker reports, and managing the drafting process on various projects.

The role will include effective internal team communications, administration and projects co-ordination as well some
aspects of business development as advised by senior management.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Preparation of verifiable static calculations for steel and reinforced concrete structures (precast concrete and in-situ concrete) in German and English
• Competency in determining optimal supporting structures and carry out preliminary measurements
• The ability to analyse engineering structures in 2D & 3D
• Experience of scheming technical solutions and presenting these internally and externally
• The ability to design and detail in timber, steel, concrete and masonry in accordance with Eurocodes
• Ability to identify key project issues and propose viable solutions for discussion with senior colleagues
• Completing work within deadlines while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
• Success in contributing towards the projects you are involved in and collaboration on the further development of system solutions
• Ability to inspect work on site, record opening up works and defects, recognise and report unsafe working practices

Description

The first point of contact for all visitors to the office in Norwich. Responsibility to organise and supervise all administrative activities that underpin the smooth and efficient running of the office, including supporting the Communications Manager with marketing activities for the business.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Represent the organisation as the first point of contact and welcome all visiting clients professionally and efficiently
• Ensuring ‘Reception’ area is kept clean and tidy at all times
• Answer office switchboard in a timely manner, directing calls to their destination and taking messages when necessary
